Mark started the race from P3 and passed the #8 Audi at turn one to take second place but loses the position early in the race. 50 minutes into the race, Mark pits and Brendon jumps in for his stint and holds third place behind the two Audis. The Audis were out in front until the four hour mark, when Brendon was able to pit under a Full Course Yellow and hand over to Timo, who came out in the lead. Moments later the #7 Audi crashed from second, leaving the #1 Porsche unchallenged. Mark and his teammates went on to win at the Circuit of the Americas for a second time and scoring their third victory in a row in the World Endurance Championship.
